CHOOSE THE RIGHT
MEMBRANE THICKNESS
RubberCover EPDM is a single-ply membrane. The membrane thickness is often dictated by local building codes and type of application. In most cases, a 1.1 mm thick membrane is sufficient. However, for green, solar or blue roofs, we recommend using a 1.5 mm thick membrane to provide added durability. Refer to the table below for guidance:

Step-by-Step Instructions:
-
Prepare the Roof Surface
Ensure your roof is clean, dry, and free of any debris. Check for any sharp edges or protrusions that could damage the EPDM material. -
Measure and Cut the EPDM
Measure the dimensions of your shed roof and cut the EPDM rubber cover to size, allowing for a little extra material to ensure complete coverage. -
Apply Adhesive
Using a recommended roofing adhesive, apply a uniform layer to the roof surface. Be sure to follow the manufacturer’s guidelines for the best results. -
Lay Down the EPDM
Carefully position the EPDM rubber cover onto the adhesive, smoothing it out to eliminate any air bubbles. Make sure the edges are aligned properly. -
Seal the Edges
Once the EPDM is in place, seal the edges with additional adhesive or a suitable EPDM seam tape to prevent water infiltration. -
Final Check
Inspect the installation for any loose areas or bubbles and ensure that everything is securely adhered.
